The trip to Brazil was good... The hotels that you booked were very good and location was great. The hotel at the Falls was very good and the tour there was excelent. The tour guide was great and very concerned with my husband not walking not too good and didn't rush us. Couldn't ask for a better guide. In Buenos Aires the location of the hotel was near a mall and the restaurants in the mall good.

We had a most wonderful time in Costa Rica. The many outdoor activities of the guided nature hikes, white water rafting, zip canopying, horseback riding, ATV rides, and the hot mineral springs were better than expected. Our driver, Francisco was so friendly and courteous....always professional and prompt. He tried to accommodate all our needs during our long travels between the different regions/cities... The accommodations were quaint and clean with charming attributes... Our guides were quite knowledgeable and personable with no complaints. They were the highlight of our trip since without them, we would have never seen the amazing wildlife. All the tours were professionally managed and we were picked up as scheduled. I felt I could have stayed one day longer in both Arenal and Manual Antonio to do more activities. Overall, it was a most enjoyable vacation for us....a different experience compared to our many journeys to Europe. We plan on booking a trip to Chile with Ecovoyager for 2008 and hopefully some friends can join us. Thank you for making this booking process so easy.

Hi Basi, We just returned on Friday, and it was a fantastic trip! I did fill out the Eco Voyager evaluation form that our guide, Jorge, gave us in Ecuador, so that will likely go to your Quito office. In general, we were extremely pleased with all aspects of the trip. The guides were excellent, and all of the details went according to plan. We were very pleased with the quality of service throughout (by drivers, guides, airport personnel), and found the accommodations to be what we had expected. We were not disappointed in any way and would not have negative feedback to offer. Indeed, we hope there will be other ways to work with Eco Voyager for future trips.

Hi Ben, We have just returned from our trip to Cuzco, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. I wanted to take a minute to let you know how much we enjoyed the entire experience. Our guides in Cuzco, (Sandra) and in Quito, (Jorge) were exceptional as were the guides on the Flamingo in the Galapagos. They were all friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs and interests. The accomodations were very good at all stops and the meals were invariably well done. The trip was fast-paced and always informative and entertaining. For a couple of 73 year-olds we thought we kept up pretty well with the "younger" crowd on the many hikes, climbs, swims and other activities on the Galapagos. Quito is a great city and we especially enjoyed our several days there as well as the time we spent in Cuzco and Machu Picchu. I think we soaked up as much culture, history and general information as was possible in the time we had in Peru and Ecuador. The trip was truly memorable and we thank you and the staff at Ecovoyager for putting it all together so efficiently. We will be watching your website for future travel opportunities.

EcoVoyager for South America I kept reading in ITN that if you have a problem while on tour, you should call your travel company immediately and not wait until your return. (See "Far Horizons" columns in the July '00, November '00 and February '01 issues.) Well, on a trip to Peru with EcoVoyager we had a small mix-up, so we called from our hotel room. Not only did EcoVoyager correct the mix-up, they made it up to us with an extravagant dinner at a seaside restaurant in Lima. This trip, cost $2,541 per person, out of New York (plus $58 U.S. departure tax). It was our second with EcoVoyager; last year we went with them to the Amazon in Venezuela. In December we are going to the Galapagos, again with EcoVoyager.

I have only good things to say about our trip. Everything went according to our plan/expectations. Since this was our first "private" tour I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was all great! They were all professional, informative and accommodating. The hotels were wonderful and I would recommend them. I was especially pleased my with wanderings in the steps of Jorge Amado as we saw the museum and other exhibits by his contemporaries. The trip made me want to explore his writings all over again. I had no idea that he was the most famous author in Brazil. The books painted a picture that is still accurate in some spots. Salvador also feels a lot like West Africa, especially the local dress on some of the older women and the outdoor vendors cooking in palm oil. The colonial towns outside the more developed areas were also interesting and beautiful. And we enjoyed the museum-turned-cigar factory.

Nannai Beach was a treat, especially since it was at the end of the tour. Although the towns of Olinda and Recife are beautiful (Olinda reminds me of Sausalito), I was pleased that we stayed at the resort. It was relaxing and extremely private. All in all we would definitely recommend the trip (and already have) to our more adventurous friends. Many colleagues expressed concern regarding security issues in Rio, but our fully escorted arrangements made all the difference: airport to hotel, to dinner to shows to sites to airport. You might want to emphasize this to nervous American travelers.

Our trip was all we expected and more. The guides were all first rate, well informed, friendly and most importantly, always on time!! We enjoyed all aspects of the trip, especially the Galapagos experience where the ship and the itinerary were excellent. We were lucky to get Greg Anaus as our guide, and as we had only 9 people in our group, we got even better attention. The food everywhere was very good, and we particularly liked the restaurant "La Vina" in Quito which was recommended by our guide Katya.
The train ride to Machu Picchu was very memorable and again, our guide Alfredo was excellent. If I could make a suggestion, you could be a little more specific as to tipping guidelines. We were never really sure if we gave the correct amounts. Thank you for arranging our trip--all the accomodations were first rate. We will be sure to recommend Eco Voyager to any of our friends interested in taking a similar trip.

The trip was quite wonderful. We had perfect weather throughout and everything worked out very well. We always had someone to get us to and from airports and that was a real help. The lake crossing was fun,I did get to go horseback riding when we stopped in Peulla, and that was very nice. We loved our guide Pablo in Puerto Vara he really showed us the area with alot of great explanation. We highly recomend going to Bariloche and staying at the Llao LLao,a lovely experience. The Tango show was lovely and the city tour informative. The Ritz Carlton in Santiago was a great place to stay and the roof pool and spa a perfect place to unwind.
